Because of the recent market turmoil, many people are wondering whether their portfolios are properly diversified for their personal risk tolerance, or whether they can still afford to retire as planned. At the same time, they are concerned with spending money on anything other than fixed expenses. Silver Oak's response to this challenge is the "Bear Market Checkup."
For the next five months (April through August 2009), we will provide a simplified portfolio review and retirement projections for a fee range of $1,000 to $1,500. While not appropriate for all clients, this checkup is designed to answer the most pressing questions facing a person in this difficult economic time. Some of the questions we've heard include:
