Protecting your privacy is important to us at Silver Oak Advisory Group. Any information that is provided to our firm in connection with providing you financial services is held in the strictest confidence. This policy applies to both current and former clients of the firm.
We understand that you have entrusted us with your private financial information, and we do everything we can to maintain that trust. Such information may include your name, address and Social Security number, your personal finances, information about transactions between you and third parties, information about your health, and other matters.
Our policy with respect to personal information includes:
- We restrict access to the personal and account information of our clients to those Silver Oak employees who need to know that information in the course of their job responsibilities.
- We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in the office and computer environment to ensure that your information is not placed at unreasonable risk. Discarded client information is shredded and destroyed by a professional service.
- We do not provide your personal identifiable information to mailing list vendors or solicitors for any purpose.
- We may be required to provide information about you to third parties without your consent when required by law, such as at the request of federal or state regulators or to the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards; or in response to a subpoena, court order or other disciplinary or judicial process; or to protect against fraud.
- With your permission, we may provide information about you to account service providers, such as the custodian for your accounts, to help process your applications or service your accounts.
- With your permission, we may also provide information about you to your accountant, attorney or other professional involved in your financial service engagement.
- If we ever anticipate changing this Privacy Policy in the future, we would be prohibited under the law from doing so without advising you first.
